Hey, is the DVB-T2/C Tuner compatible with Kodi/XBMC or are we forced to use the app you have developed?
Best regards Jonas.

Hi Jonas, Kodi is not officially supported yet, but the communication between the service handling tuning and our app is not closed. Anyone with the knowledge necessary can write a Kodi plugin.

What about the CI module. Will the support for that be proprietary or will the interface between this and your application be available for other developers?

The CI module will almost certainly be proprietary. The firmare and drivers for the USB/CI chipset is under license, and we are not at liberty to distribute them.

Wouldn't it be possible to make a proprietary binary for decoding TS streams against a CI card to be able to make our own SW for recording encoded streams ?

The restrictions are 30p only and no HDR. Other than that, HEVC is supported with hardware decoding.

andcor Yes, that is a technical possibility. However that would require major structural changes to our DTV app, so the jury's still out there.
