Do you plan on using Android TV, or are you stuck using the phone/tablet version of Android?

Hi, We use Android 4.4.4 with a customized launcher for TV use - this is latest version provided by the chip manufacturer. Sure we would love the newest version, but currently many apps are not (yet?) supported on Android TV. Running a standard Android version gives access to all apps. Yes, I suppose you could call it a very large tablet.

For apps that use a camera, will plugging in a webcam the usb port on the rhoboard provide a video feed to the app?

We have seen USB webcams working, but currently we had to disable camera support to pass the CTS test suite. If need be, it can be enabled again.

Google wants to bring Android to your living room through Google TV. You can purchase a Google TV box (which costs around $100) or you can buy a TV which has Google TV built-in. TVs with built-in Google TV are pretty rare, although you can expect to see more of them entering the market in the near future. Alternatively, you can buy the NSZ-GS7 Internet Player with Google TV, which is a Sony product that promises to revolutionize home entertainment. Check this out for more details....
